Niagara on the Lake has a variety of attractions for both visitors and residents. If you are choosing to relocate to the Niagara Region, it is these attactions that make living in the small towns of Niagara a unique and a pleasurable place to be. Whether you choose to live in the old town Niagara on the Lake or buy in one of the new developments in St. Davids, these activities are all close at hand.

 

Cultural Attractions

The Shaw Threatre– Enjoy living in Niagara on the Lake with theatre productions from the Shaw Festival Theatre, producing the works of George Bernard Shaw and Shavian playwrights. website

RiverBrink Museum was the home of Sameul E. Weir, Q.C. (1898- 1981) who assembled a unique collection of paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, and books. The collection reflects Mr. Weir’s keen interest in historical fine art. Paintings by many of ‘s most significant artists, including Tom Thompson, Cornelius Krieghoff, and the Group of Seven are on display, as well as works by well-known British, European, French and American artists. Displays change annually to include different works from the collection, as well as from loans. website

MusicNiagara Each summer enjoy the various music festivals, Niagara-on-the-Lake has to offer. You have the choice of outstanding music in standout settings; 35 concerts with internationally renowned musicians: classical, jazz, opera, choral and cabaret. Willowbank is a national historic site of great significance and beauty and an innovative school of restoration arts exist together in a living, learning and working endeavor. The purpose is to establish and share best practices for restoring and sustaining the historical, architectural and cultural landscape in Canada and beyond website

Lawnbowling, the club was founded in 1877, the Niagara on the lake Lawn Bowling Club spent its first 133 years on grass, including 88 years at a green on Regent Street in the old town. In 2011 we moved to the new Community Centre on the outskirts of the Old Town. There are regulation size green with an artificial surface and excellent drainage. website
