Well the next logical topic to blog about I thought would be about where I live now--St.Davids, Ontario. I had a great childhood living in Niagara-on-the-Lake from when I was born up until the day I left to go to University. St.Davids is a great place to raise a family or even to retire too! My two boys currently attend St.Davids public school--they can walk and or ride their bikes with their friends to the school which is right around the corner from our home. My husband and I renovated and turned a 1950's storey and a half home to a two storey home containing three bedrooms an addition, finished basement and detached two car garage. We did all this while living in a travel trailer with two kids--YIKES!! It was a challenge but we made it through and moved into our home 5 years ago in October before the real cold weather took hold--thank goodness! We love living in St.Davids as we are close to the public school and park which contains a heated swimming pool and tennis courts. The location to the St.Davids Gold Club is practically in our backyard as well as hiking and biking trails on the Niagara Escarpment. There are several new developments happening in St.Davids and I think the most well kept secret is our location to some really great wineries and shopping!! We are 10 minutes from the grocery store, pharmacy, beer and liqour stores, doctors office and dentists as well as the QEW highway and US border. St.Davids is about 15 minutes from the main street of old town, Niagara-on-the-Lake where my mom still lives--she is retired and lives a very active lifestyle playing tennis in the summer at the courts at Memorial Park.
Real Estate in St.Davids is a mixture of historic homes, heritage homes and new homes so there is something for everyone.
